Awakenings Tour 2010 Britain’s national contemporary dance company returns with its winning formula of imaginative, ambitious and high quality dance. This autumn, Rambert collaborates with theatrical choreographer Aletta Collins and celebrated American composer Tobias Picker to create the first dance interpretation of Awakenings, inspired by Oliver Sacks’ book of the same name, made famous by the 1990’s Hollywood film starring Robin Williams and Robert DeNiro. Awakenings is a beautiful piece of dance full of high emotion, energy and drama. Two further works, brand new to Plymouth’s audiences, will also be performed by the Company’s 22 world-class dancers with live music enhancing the overall Rambert experience.Date(s)
